Meditating is the best thing you can do for your mind, body, & soul. Period. It can actually raise and shift your energy the more you practice, and enable you to become more in control of your thoughts, you actions, and your life.

There are so many forms of meditation I could go on forever listing them. When you are just beginning, I recommend a guided meditation and then nature/instrumental/binural beats as your background, and then try a complete silence meditation as it gets easier.

You may not think you have time, but that is why I recommend only 10 minutes a day to start! Begin with just 5 minutes in the morning and 5 at night. Gradually add 1 minute every day and you will quickly notice the difference, and that it gets much easier with practice! You will soon be rearranging your daily plans to fit around your meditation time!

Not every meditation is the same. Some days I am unable to shut my internal thoughts up, and yet with some, I’m taken to outer space, see my loved ones, visit places I’ve never imagined, and attain knowledge from my Self, my inner knowing.


There are two ways to prepare for your meditation;

  1. Sit comfortably with your legs crossed (maybe sitting on a yoga block or cushion or nothing). Rest your hands in your lap. Sit up tall and squeeze your shoulder blades together. As you exhale, release the tension in your muscles and relax your shoulders. Close your eyes and begin to focus and control your breathing…..
  2. Lay down flat on your back with your palms either resting on your heart and your belly and resting at your side (with your palms facing up). Also close your eyes and focus on your breath…
